Close to Paris ( 30 km ) , and just beyond the new town of Saint- Quentin-en-Yvelines, the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse remains a largely rural area, amongst one of the most beautiful and sought after in the Ile de France Region.
The Parc Naturel régional ( regional park ) was created in the 1985 by the Conseil Régional d'Ile de France, at the request of the local communes and the Departement des Yvelines, to preserve the quality of their heritage and to promote sustainable development.



This Valley of Chevreuse can offer a multitude of activities to do, numerous museums and Châteaux to visit:

Castle of Breteuil,


 Dampierre, Madeleine, 
and a few kilometers farther

Rambouillet ,

 Versailles 

And others ...

You can buy chease, milk, honey or confiture in farm shops ( six in the Valley ), you can also discover  the "Golf national de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines",

  
the bed and breakfast lodge is situated at 8km from the Golf, 10 min by car, or simply walking on discovery trails ! :

-"Sentier découverte" of Maincourt
( 2 km of signposted trails featuring the fauna and flora of the wetlands )
-"Sentier découverte des Maréchaux"
( a 4 km walk through an ancient  quarry to the lake "Etang de Cernay", a natural site with a facinating history )
- In Lévis-Saint-Nom, discover the religious heritage of Lévis and the surrounddings.


Moreover in The Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, you can find 18 PNR signposted paths, in 11 towns.
