Angelin Preljocaj is reviving the biggest production of his repertoire 'Noces', which was created back in 1989 to the music of Stravinski. This is a stunning ballet which tells the story of five couples who are constantly searching, watching and trying to tame each other, but who never stop to listen to one another since, to some extent; things were over before they even began.
Le sacre du Printemps ( The rite of the spring ) is a tumultuous whirlwind of biogical impulses which reminds us that as much as men and women may achieve in their quests for spiritual, cultural and intellectual enlightenment they will always stumble and fall when faced with these human urges.

350 years ago, in 1660, in order to prepare for his marriage to the Infanta of Spain, the young Sun King abandoned his lady love and began a journey across the French provinces to reach Pheasant Island, on the Spanish border, where his marriage was to be held.
A splendid royal procesion of thousands of people, this journey displayed all the audacity of a king of 22 years of age that was admired by the people: royal entrances, rampart attacks and princely ceremonies provide the inspiration for the virtuoso choreography of Groupe F.

Just before the Grand Evening Fountain display, relive the flambloyant days of the reign of Louis XIV by viewing the apartments of the king to the sound of the serenade. Under the gold and reflections of the Hall of Mirrors, as the sun sets, enjoy an unforgettable moment! You will be accompagnied by the music of a group of baroque musicians and dancing pairs for a grand ball in the style of the Grand Siècle.

At nightfall, the fountains begin to play, the lamps are lighted and the Gardens of Versailles create the mysterious backdrop for a walk along the terraces and through the groves, accompagnied by music. Fireworks above the Grand Canal light up the stunning finale to a magical stroll through time: fire, water, Baroque music and statuary combine to enchant visitors on unforgettable summer evenings.
